Coaching & Mentoring
We believe in knowledge sharing. If we didn't, we wouldn't be in this business. We also have a relatively unique philosophy (at least among consulting companies) that we need to teach our clients to be self-sufficient because if they're not, they'll fail. And if they fail, we fail. And we don't like to fail.
If you haven't noticed already, intranets and content management systems are constantly in flux. They tend to grow both in size and in scope on a daily basis. Therefore, the manager and his/her team must have a core set of skills to be able to keep up. Many of the skills may be obvious: content management, project management and so forth. However, many of them are not quite so obvious, yet they are essential for success: change management, information design, internal marketing, meeting facilitation, financial analysis, etc. We like to be as transparent and collaborative as possible, so you will likely pick up many skills over the course of a project with us. However, the more advanced skills are pretty difficult to teach without explicitly doing so. For this purpose, we have developed a mentoring program.
The mentoring program is a structured way of building essential capabilities within your team. It can be structured as one-on-one time on a regular basis wherein we discuss your current challenges, review questions, prepare for a Steering Committee meeting or discuss a planned topic, or it can be ad hoc meetings with a larger group or team to conduct skills training, run workshops, etc. We will work with you to establish your goals at the onset of the program and develop a custom-tailored solution to meet your needs.
